Our Classes
At Chelsey Art Studio, our classes are thoughtfully designed to guide children step by step — from strong art fundamentals to more personal and developed artwork.
Students begin by building essential skills such as color, line, shape, observation, composition, and material use. As they grow, they gradually learn how to organize their own ideas, make visual choices, and develop artwork with more individual direction.
In our small class setting, each child receives careful guidance according to their age, pace, and artistic growth.
Studio Classes focus on building strong art fundamentals in a warm and engaging way.

Studio Classes
Little Brush

Age 4-6 / 60 min
Little Brush is a gentle and joyful first step into the world of art.
Young children explore color, line, shape, texture, and a variety of art materials through hands-on projects. At this stage, the focus is not on perfect results, but on curiosity, confidence, and positive early experiences with art.
With gentle guidance, students become familiar with basic art materials and begin to enjoy expressing themselves through making.
Golden Brush
Age 7-9 / 60 min
Golden Brush helps students begin to build clearer art foundations.
Through drawing, painting, collage, and mixed media, students explore line, shape, color, pattern, composition, and material use. Each project is guided step by step so students can develop steady working habits and a stronger understanding of basic visual elements.
This class is a good fit for children who are ready to strengthen their fundamentals while continuing to enjoy a variety of art experiences.

Signature Brush
Age 10-13 / 90 min
Signature Brush is designed for students who are ready for deeper observation and more developed studio projects.
Students practice drawing, painting, composition, color, and material control while learning how to complete artwork with more care and intention. They begin to understand how to arrange what they observe, how to make thoughtful visual choices, and how to carry a project through to completion.
This class helps students build a stronger foundation for future Atelier-level work.
Atelier Classes
Atelier Classes begin where foundational studio learning starts to develop into more personal artwork.
Atelier classes require teacher consultation and approval before enrollment.
Atelier Pathway . Atelier I . Atelier II
Atelier Pathway
Age 7+ / 90 min x 1 weekly
90 min x 2 weekly
Atelier Pathway is the first step into the Atelier program, designed for students who are ready to begin developing their own ideas into artwork.
Students observe artists’ works and visual references, ask questions, and organize their thoughts through simple writing and thumbnail sketches. They begin to explore how a subject can be interpreted in different ways, rather than simply following one example.
Even when the class begins with the same theme, each student’s artwork may develop differently through their own choices in color, composition, story, and visual focus. The teacher guides each student closely so their ideas can grow into clear and thoughtful artwork.

Atelier I
Age 8+ / 120 min
Atelier I is a deeper Atelier class for students who are ready to develop their artwork with more focus and intention.
Students work on longer projects while studying observation, proportion, value, composition, color, and material control. Rather than simply copying the teacher’s artwork, students use demonstrations, references, idea development, and thumbnail sketches to build their own individual direction.
The teacher guides both the technical process and the artistic direction, helping each student complete more developed and personal artwork over time.
Digital Class
Age 8+ / 90 min
Digital Class introduces digital tools as another meaningful art medium.
Students learn the basics of digital drawing, layers, color, composition, character design, and visual storytelling while connecting these skills to traditional art foundations. The class is not only about learning app functions, but also about understanding how to build an image thoughtfully.
Students explore how to organize ideas, compose a screen, and create visual work in a digital environment.
